ELASTIC wire screens combine the advantages of several types of screens. Due to the high open area, they provide higher performance than conventional non-metal screens. The processing of highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane wires (polyurethane encapsulated steel and kevlar ropes) guarantees a much longer lifetime than steel wire screens. High flexibility of ELASTIC screens reduces the possibility of getting stuck and clogged. The screen functions properly only when it is correctly tensioned into the screening machine, in the range of 20-45 Nm, the same as at wire screens. Low weight and high flexibility are great advantages especially when changing screens.
